La Société Française de St. Louis Presents…
Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky
Screened as part of Cinema St. Louis' 18th Annual Robert French Film Festival, this sweeping drama imagines the passionate intersection of two revolutionary artists. Paris, 1913. Coco Chanel is driven by ambition and desire, and Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring is about to shake the world. Their radical visions collide in a story of art, obsession, and reinvention.
The film will be introduced by Jean-Louis Pautrot, Vice-President of La Société Française de St. Louis and Professor of French at Saint Louis University, where he founded the Film Studies program in 2002. He has published essays on directors including Jacques Tati, Louis Malle, and Jean Epstein.
